Hi everyone! Look below to see the review for your orchestra.
Middle School Orchestra
- Royal Promenade — We reviewed Royal Promenade and then played through the whole thing. This is our easiest song, so you should have it down soon!
- The Abandoned Funhouse — We worked on getting all 3 parts together, which is definitely tricky! Try practicing with the practice videos to help know how your part fits with the others. Each person needs to be solid on their part!
- Seven Nation Army — We are shortening this one, so we will stop on the first note of measure 33. I made an easier violin part, so hopefully that helps! I will also bring my violin next week. Cellos, make sure you are solid on your part, because we will need you!
- Canon in D — We didn’t get to it this week, and there is a chance we will cut it. Check it out, but don’t spend too much time practicing it!
Elementary Orchestra
- Royal Promenade — We spent a lot of time this week learning each section’s patterns for Royal Promenade. We will go over them again next week for the people who were gone. Everyone should work on their section’s pattern — measures 5-9 for Cello and Bass, measures 9-13 for 2nd Violins and Violas, and measures 13-17 for 1st Violins. These patterns repeat over and over, so once you have them down then you will know most of the song!
- On a Swing — We worked on the entire song, especially measures 29-45 and 53 until the end. You should be able to play the whole thing! Try practicing it with the practice videos at home.
- The Salamander Samba — We didn’t get to it this week, but we will next week!
