Hi everyone! Look below for the review for your orchestra.
Middle School Orchestra
- Royal Promenade — This is going well! We reviewed our patterns and went through the whole thing. You should practice with the videos at home so you can get used to how the whole orchestra sounds together.
- The Abandoned Funhouse — I am so proud of you all! It is not easy to all play different parts. We worked really hard on the beginning until 41. I’m hoping to focus on 41 until the end at our next rehearsal. Keep practicing!
- Seven Nation Army — As a reminder, we are not playing the whole thing — We will play until the first note of measure 33. We are definitely getting this one, but it needs to be faster in order to make sense. You can do it!
Elementary Orchestra
- On a Swing — We went through this whole thing without the piano part, and then with the video. It’s sounding great! We just need to work on remembering the measures of rest near the end so that no one is playing when they shouldn’t.
- Royal Promenade — We spent most of our rehearsal on this one, and it’s sounding great! This song is all about learning your pattern. You will find that in measures 5 through 21, your part repeats the same pattern over and over, and they sound great together! Work on your pattern this week, and we will learn the middle next week. I have posted the slide with everyone’s notes below in case you want to reference it.
- The Salamander Samba — We only had a few minutes, so we only quickly ran through this song. We will spend more time on it next week.
