Hi! Look below to see what your orchestra did at our last rehearsal.
Middle School Orchestra
- The Abandoned Funhouse — This is sounding great, although I am concerned about us all focusing the whole way through! This one is tough since each person is on their own part, so everyone has to not only know their part, but also how it fits with everyone else. Please especially practice the music between 33 and 53 as this is our toughest spot.
- Royal Promenade — This is sounding awesome! We will try to get it so that you guys can practice with the Elementary Orchestra, but on your own you have it down.
- Seven Nation Army — This is coming along! I will have our drummer there next week. We worked extra hard on measures 21-29, since that is the section we know the least. Please make sure you can play it up to tempo (metronome marking is quarter note = 105), since that will be our top issue!
Elementary Orchestra
- Royal Promenade — We learned the end! Look below for copies of fingerings for the end. You should be able to play the whole thing now, so try practicing it with the practice videos!
- The Salamander Samba — This is sounding great! I am most part about the violins’ part at letter C — just make sure that you wait for the rest before you start your “grocery store” part!
- On a Swing — Our biggest problem with this one is people zoning out and playing during the rests. Make sure you know not only where to play, but where NOT to play!
